BLEDCOM symposium is a traditional gathering of scholars and practitioners from all over the world who come together to explore and discuss on various themes and research in the field of public relations and related disciplines.

BLEDCOM 2012

Communication has conquered a strategic role in many organizations – corporations as well as non-profit and governmental organizations – around the world. Researchers have traced the institutionalization of the communication function in departmental structures, informal networks, agencies, service providers, training programs and branch associations. At the same time, the self-perceptions and ideals of professionals have changed. The traditional concept of public relations oriented towards external stakeholders has been broadened to address internal publics and investors as well as consulting top-management on the communicative impacts strategic decisions.

It is time to assess how far we have come so far in order plan for future growth. It is with this in mind that Bledcom 2012 asks: What is the current state of public relations and communication management? For more information please see Call for papers.
